Croydon
We started it…
Project YOU was started in Croydon in 2007 by local leaders from the Air Training Corps, Army Cadet Force, Boys’ Brigade, Girlguiding, Scouts, Sea Cadet Corps, St John Ambulance & Volunteer Police Cadets. It now includes the Girls’ Brigade.
Since then, this initiative has been renamed YOU London and is now across London. Nationally it is called Youth United.
During the last 3 years, we have worked together and been involved in public events in the Whitgift Centre, sharing resources and ideas, increasing our numbers of young people and adult volunteers.
Our priority is to recruit more Adult Volunteers thus enabling us to invite more young people to come and join us. There are no age or time restrictions on becoming a volunteer with a group.
If you are curious as to how you can help, please get in touch via email croydon@youlondon.org.uk
