About YOU London

YOU London is a unique partnership of the oldest, largest and most experienced uniformed youth organisations in the capital, including; the Air Training Corps LaSER, Army Cadet Force, Boys’ Brigade London District, Girls’ Brigade, Girlguiding LaSER, London Fire Cadets, Sea Cadet Corps, St John Ambulance London (Prince of Wales’s) District, Scout Association Greater London and the Metropolitan Volunteer Police Cadets.

All YOU London organisations are committed to working together to increase the opportunities available to the capital’s young people through sport, expeditions, challenges, education, learning, citizenship and friendships.

These organisations provide positive activities to children and young people, through fun and adventure.

YOU.Matter

The Greater London Authority (GLA) has funded a new £1.3m programme, YOU.Matter, to expand the capacity of eight of the uniformed groups in London.

Managed by the Safer London Foundation, the Met Police’s official charity,  YOU.Matter is focused on helping young people from disadvantaged backgrounds access the amazing opportunities offered by uniform groups.

Over three years the programme aims to recruit 8000 young people, 1000 adult volunteers, and open 38 new units in 12 of London’s priority boroughs.
