Lambeth Air Cadets invited to local school thanks to YOU.Matter presentation
January 6, 2012Air Cadets from 50F (Lambeth) Squadron were invited to Charles Edward Brook School after one of their teachers saw Cadet Warrant Officer Aisha Naibe-Wey present at part of YOU.Matter at the Safer Learners event in early November.
Flight Lieutenant Meriem Zidour, Officer Commanding 50F (Lambeth) Squadron attended the school and held an informal question and answer session for students during their lunch time.
Around 50 pupils came in to ask questions and learn about the Air Cadets and the opportunities available to them if they joined. The 50 minute session was very informal with lots of the students asking a variety of questions!
Students were keen to register their interest for upcoming intake nights in January for both 50F (Lambeth) Squadron and 343 (Camberwell) Squadron which is also nearby.
“The response from the students and also their teacher, Ms Annika was very positive. It was fantastic to be invited into a school and just shows what can be done when we work together!” said Flight Lieutenant Zidour afterwards.
