Jewish Lads' & Girls' Brigade

For young people aged 8–18

For over 130 years, JLGB has helped young Jewish people discover their potential and make a positive difference in the world. Whether you are 8 or 18, whatever your interests or ambitions, JLGB is a place to grow, connect, and be your best self.

JLGB offers essential life skills and meaningful experiences that support young people in their journey from empowered youth to engaged young adults. JLGB believes in young people not only as the leaders of tomorrow, but as a powerful force for positive change in society today.

JLGB exists to ensure that every young Jewish person has the opportunity to take a full part in and contribute to British life and society from within the context of their faith and communities. This is why we ensure all our activities are kosher and Sabbath-friendly.

Volunteer with JLGB

Young people need support now more than ever. JLGB creates safe, supportive spaces where they can build confidence, form friendships, and thrive. Volunteers make this possible.

There are a range of flexible volunteering opportunities to suit your interests and availability, including leading or supporting weekly sessions, helping at events, camps and trips, sharing your skills such as sport, music or media, and supporting behind the scenes. Full training is provided.

JLGB helps young people believe in themselves and achieve more than they ever thought possible. It provides a supportive and inspiring environment where they can grow in confidence, develop lifelong skills, and realise their potential.
